This was my Mom's recipe and she always got lots of requests for the recipe as have I. Jan Alford
GINGER SNAPS
3/4 C shortening
1 C white sugar
1/4 C molasses
1 egg
Cream all of the above in beater bowl.
Add
2 C white flour
1 Tsp baking soda
1/8 Tsp salt
1 Tsp cinnamon
1/4 Tsp ground cloves or allspice
1 Tsp ginger
Mix well and then roll into 1" balls, press with fork on greased cookie sheet.
Bake at 325 deg. for 10 min. |
