Sweet Temptations

Rhubarb Bread 1 1/2 c brown sugar 2/3 c oil 1 egg 1 c milk, soured with 1 tbsp vinegar 1 tsp salt 1 tsp baking soda 1 tsp vanilla 2 1/2 c flour 1 1/2 c fresh, rhubarb, diced 1/2 nuts, chopped (optional)
TOPPING 1/2 c brown sugar 1 tbsp butter
Oven @ 350 Mix bread ingred. in order given. Pour into 1 large or 2 small greasd loaf pans. ( I used a bundt pan) Mix butter and sugar together to form topping and sprinkle over top of batter. Bake about 1 hour. Do not overbake. Enjoy Ellen |

In a large mixing bowl, beat together in this order: - 1/2 cup butter
- 1 cup white sugar
- 2 tbsp anise seeds
- 2 tbsp liqueur (such as amaretto)
- 1-1/2 tbsp whiskey
- 3 eggs
In another bowl, mix gently together: - 2-3/4 cups all purpose flour
- 1 tsp baking powder
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 1 cup coarsely chopped almonds
