One of the things every quilter should do is to put a label on each and every quilt that they make. This is very important to do, as this documents your quilt for future generations so they know who, when, where and why the quilt was made.
When documenting your quilt, make sure to include information that is unique to you and your quilt such as, but not limited to: - Quilt Name
- Quilt Pattern
- Who pieced the top
- Whether or not the quilt was hand or machine pieced and/or quilted
- Date started and date finished
- Any special information you would like to put about the quilt
Here are just a few quotes that might be appropriate for one of your quilt labels: 'Families are stitched together with memories.' 'Families are like quilts, stitched together one piece at a time.' 'Family ties are precious threads no matter where we roam.' 'Family (or friends) are tied with heartstrings.' 'Friendship is sewn with love and measured with kindness.' 'Friendships are sewn one stitch at a time.' 'Love is the thread that binds us.' 'May your sorrows be patched and your jobs be quilted.' 'Memories are stitched with love.' 'Quilts made with love age with time, but never lose their warmth.' |
